...and the second novel of the Hemophage Series:
This year for NaNoWriMo, I'll be continuing my Hemophage Series with the second novel: Hellsong.
As I did last year, I'll be posting novel excerpts as they are written to give you, my readers, a chance to watch the story progress.Trey Parker knew things would change when he turned 18. He just didn't know how much they would change! And if he had known that Vampires, Incubi and Witches were real, he might have just stayed home on his birthday. It would certainly have made his life a whole lot easier. The supernatural world is never more than a stone's throw away from our world, even in the idyllic town of Eagle Lake. But Trey Parker has never been one for ghost stories. he's got other things on his mind, like graduating high school without drawing too much attention to himself. That all changes on his eighteenth birthday, when the mysterious and sexy Lane Hunt first arrives at Eagle Lake High and catches Trey's eye. This boy--this walking wet dream--draws attention to himself like a billboard, and that light gets cast on anyone around him, especially when he sets his smoldering gaze on the shy Trey. Not everyone thinks he's a fantasy given form though. Deacon Argent knows the truth about Lane and though he's forbidden from exposing him, lest he himself be exposed, he's not about to let Lane hone in on his territory so easily. Real danger lurks in the shadows and with so much competition over Trey, this danger grows with each passing day, threatening to destabilize the carefully crafted secrecy that protects the supernatural world and our world too, and it finds a willing supplicant in the form of a vampire on the run. All hell is about to break loose in Eagle Lake and the tragedy to them all will change the world.
